David Moyes has confirmed Kurt Zouma will be in the Westham team list to face off with Premier league rivals Leicester.

Zouma has been fined the maximum amount of £250k by the Hammer for kicking and slapping his cat in a video that has since gone viral.

West Ham signed Zouma for £29.8m from Chelsea in August 2021 and he has helped them to fourth place going into the game against the Foxes.

David Moyes has said Kurt Zouma will not be dropped from the Westham team and confirmed the French defender will be in his squad to face Leicester City in a Premier League game this weekend.

Zouma has been criticized by fans after a video of him kicking his cat surfaced on the internet with the 27-year-old losing endorsement deals with sportswear giants Adidas cancelling his contract.

According to the BBC, David Moyes has now come to the defence of the Westham defender insisting the former Chelsea player has been punished enough for his crime.

Zouma has been fined the maximum amount of £250k by the Hammers, with the fee being donated to animal welfare charities.

“I don’t think a club could have taken more action any quicker than what they’ve done at the moment. West Ham have done a really good job,” added Moyes. “I’m not condoning him; his actions were terrible. They were diabolical but we’ve chosen to play him and we stand by that.

Meanwhile, Kurt Zouma has tendered an unreserved apology for kicking his cat and Westham manager David Moyes says the defender feels remorseful for his actions. According to SkySports, animal rights group the 30 Million Friends Foundation in France condemned the heinous act and called for Zouma to be suspended from the national team. David Moyes says the world needs forgive Kurt Zouma and move past the situation as he believes the defender has learnt from all that has happened.
